Montecatini Terme – Italy


ARTISTIC DIRECTOR: Maria Giulia Grazzini

The Cultural Association ”Il Parnaso”, in the name of its Artistic director Maria Giulia Grazzini and in collaboration with the Municipality of Montecatini Terme, a Tuscan Spa-town which offered hospitality in the past to the great composers of Italian opera such as Verdi, Leoncavallo and Puccini, is staging the IV International Opera Competition “M.O.A.” . The Montecatini Opera Competition is a veritable showcase for young singers who aspire to establish themselves on the international scene.

The competition is divided into two sections:

  • Section A: Roles in the opera Madama Butterfly
  • Section B: Free choice of repertoire

The winners will be offered other concerts and engagements by the partners of the M.O.A.

The finals are open to the public and will take place on 23rd August 2019 as a Gala performance with orchestra
