APPLICATION REGULATIONS
Article 1
The Academy is addressed to Opera Singers, who wish to deepen their knowledge of the opera repertoire and
it is addressed to Repetiteurs, who wish to develop the skills required for this role.
In addition to individual study, the Masterclass will be characterised by active interaction between the
various participants, thus providing students with a considerable theoretical and practical enrichment.
Article 2
The Professors of the Masterclasses are:
PATRIZIA CIGNA, soprano: vocal coach
CHIARA MARIANI, pianist: repetiteur
STEFANO SEGHEDONI, conductor: study of the score
LORENZO GIOSSI, producer: stagecraft
MARIA GIALLOMBARDO, pianist: aspects of the role of a repetiteur in the theatre and stage.
Article 3
The structure of the Masterclass for opera singers is divided into the following modules: opera singing,
diction and study of the score, mouvement and stage-craft
The singers must present: 2 arias chosen from the required repertoire + 2 arias of their choice + 1 duet of
their choice from the required repertoire.

Students must bring the scores of their chosen pieces.
Article 4
The structure of the Masterclass for repetiteurs is divided into the following modules: study of the score,
performance practice, recitative analysis, reduction of opera scores on the piano with an outline of vocal
parts, elements of concertation, active participation during the masterclass for singers.
Each pianist will “work” on 2 required pieces which will be communicated by email 20 days before the
beginning of the course + 1 piece of his/her choice + 1 piece at “first sight”.
Students must bring the scores for voice and piano of their chosen pieces.
Article 5
On Friday 26 August, the singers will perform together with the pianists in a concert, which will be open to
the public. Formal dress is required.

All activities will be carried out in full compliance with anti-Covid19 rules.
Article 7
A certificate of attendance will be given to all participants.
Article 8
Admission to the MOA Masterclass 2022 is only via email: info@montecatinioperacademy.com
Please enclose the following elements:
-Completed application form (available to download from our website www.montecatinioperacademy.com)
-Payment receipt of the registration fee: €50,00 not reimbursable. Students who attended the previous
editions of MOA Masterclass are exempt from paying the registration fee
-A photocopy of your passport/ ID document
-A recent photograph (JPEG format)
-An up-to-date copy of musical studies resume
Application deadline: 23.59 (GMT+1) on 20 th July 2022
The application procedures may be modified at the Director’s discretion
The application form implies acceptance of all the provisions of this notice
Article 9
Participation fee: € 550,00.
Payment deadline: 30 th July 2022.
Article 10
The lessons are also open to external auditors.
A maximum of 2 students are admitted to each Masterclass.
Participation fee: € 200.00
Payment deadline, under penalty of exclusion from attendance: 30 th July 2022
Payment of the registration fee is not required.

Article 12
Candidates must meet at the Cinema Teatro Imperiale in Montecatini Terme on 22 nd August 2022 at 9:00 a.m.
Article 13
Travel and accommodation costs are the responsibility of the participant.
Prices for accommodation in our partner hotels are available on request.
Article 14
The Association “Il Parnaso ETS” reserves the right to film and record all the Academy activities for
performances using videotape, tape, CD-DVD, films, Internet use, radio and TV, with no obligation towards
any of the participants. Participation in the Academy implies full consent for use of images and sound from
events from the entire course, and prize performances for eventual radio, TV or Internet broadcast, with no
rights or fees of any kind being paid under any circumstances.
Article 15
The present application regulations are published in Italian, English and Russian.
In case of controversy only the Italian version should be considered valid.
