The Academy is addressed to Opera Singers, who wish to deepen their knowledge of the opera repertoire and it is addressed to Repetiteurs, who wish to develop the skills required for this role.
In addition to individual study, the Masterclass will be characterised by active interaction between the various participants, thus providing students with a considerable theoretical and practical enrichment.
The Professors of the Masterclass for Opera Singers are:

LAURA PASQUALETTI, pianist: diction in singing and study of the score
ALESSANDRO CALAMAI, bass-baritone and producer: stagecraft
MARIA GIALLOMBARDO, pianist: piano repetiteur
The Professor of the Masterclass for repetiteurs is:
ROBERTO CORLIANÒ, pianist and composer: aspects of the role of a repetiteur in the theatre and stage.
Each singer will have 7 individual lessons + a final concert which will be open to the public.
The singers must present:
2 arias chosen from the required repertoire + 1 aria of their choice + 1 duet of their choice from the required repertoire.

Students must bring the scores of their chosen pieces.
Each pianist will have 6 individual lessons + a final concert which will be open to the public.
The course includes:
Each pianist will “work” on 2 required pieces which will be communicated by email 20 days before the beginning of the course + 1 piece of his/her choice + 1 piece at “first sight”.
Students must bring the scores for voice and piano of their chosen pieces.
At the end of the courses, on Friday 20 August, the singers will perform together with the pianists in a final concert, which will be open to the public. Formal dress is required.

All activities will be carried out in full compliance with anti-Covid19 rules.
A certificate of attendance will be given to all participants.
Montecatini Opera Festival reserves the right to offer artistic collaborations for the 2022 season to the participants who demonstrate outstanding potential in terms of technique and performing ability.
The best students may be recommended to Festivals and Theatres.
Admission to the Academy is only via email.

The lessons are also open to external auditors.
A maximum of 2 students are admitted to each Masterclass.

The Association “Il Parnaso ETS” reserves the right to film and record all the Academy activities for performances using videotape, tape, CD-DVD, films, Internet use , radio and TV, with no obligation towards any of the participants.
